About this day
A day for the sea rather than for sights. Your chauffeur takes you down the coast to Glyfada for a stroll along the marina and the promenade.
Then comes Lake Vouliagmeni, a natural lake of mineral water under a limestone cliff, warm enough for a swim for most of the year. You have about two hours to swim and relax on the loungers.
The last stop is Varkiza, with its long sandy beach and seafront tavernas, ideal for a fish lunch before the short drive back to the centre. Available May to October.

The lake is fed by underground springs mixing with the sea, so the water stays mild for much of the year and small fish nibble at your feet. Entry is paid at the gate, with sun-bed packages extra; bring water shoes for the rocky edges.
