Delphi, Arachova & Krya Springs

A summer version of the Delphi day. Your chauffeur collects you early so you reach the sanctuary of Delphi before the heat, with plenty of time for the site and its museum while the car waits.

Next comes a stop in the mountain village of Arachova for coffee and a walk through its stone lanes.

On the way home you stop at the Krya springs in Livadeia, where cold water runs out of the rock under plane trees beside an old stone bridge. It is the perfect place to rest in the shade with a drink or a meal before the drive back to Athens. Offered June to September.

   1. Delphi archaeological site and museum · 150 min here

   The sanctuary of Apollo, visited before the midday heat.

   Walk the Sacred Way up to the Temple of Apollo, the theatre and the stadium, then step into the museum for the bronze Charioteer. One combined ticket covers both; tickets for Greek state sites are sold on the official e-ticket site hhticket.gr and at the gate. Bring water and a hat.

   2. Arachova village · 45 min here

   Coffee and a stroll in a stone mountain village.

   Wander Arachova's main street of cafés and local shops, sample the local formaela cheese, and take in the view over the valley before driving on.

   3. Krya springs, Livadeia · 60 min here

   Cold springs, plane trees and an old stone bridge.

   At the edge of Livadeia the Erkyna river bursts from the rock beside a stone bridge and old watermills, with cafés under the plane trees. It is the coolest spot of a summer day, ideal for a drink or an early dinner.

Your chauffeur collects you from your hotel or any address in Athens at the departure time you chose, with a name sign, and brings you back there at the end of the day. At every stop they wait nearby.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Cancel later, or miss the pick-up, and the trip is not refunded.
